Q: What is DHA?

A: DHA is a plant‑based sugar that reacts with the amino acids on the surface of your skin to create a natural‑looking tan. It stays in the top layer only and develops over 8–24 hours.

Q: How long will my spray tan last?

A: Most spray tans last 7–10 days depending on your skin type, aftercare, and how often you exfoliate or shave.

Q: How should I prepare for my spray tan?

A: Exfoliate 24 hours before, shave or wax ahead of time, arrive with clean skin, and avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, and makeup.

Q: What do I wear to my appointment?

A: You may get spayed in a bathing suit, underwear, or nude (disposable undergarments are provided at each spray). Wear dark, loose‑fitting clothing and sandals to avoid rubbing or smudging the developing tan.

Q: How long before I can shower?

A: Depending on the solution, you’ll wait 4–8 hours for rapid tans or 8–12 hours for traditional formulas.

Q: Will this spray tan make me orange? 

A: No — modern solutions are formulated to avoid orange tones. Your shade is customized to your skin tone for a natural result. You must do your first rinse at the time indicated.

Q: Are spray tans safe?

A: DHA is FDA‑approved for external use. It does not penetrate deeper than the top layer of skin.

Q: Can I get a spray tan while pregnant?

A: Many pregnant clients choose spray tanning, but it’s always best to consult your doctor first.

Q: Can I workout after a spray tan? 

A: Avoid sweating until after your first rinse. Sweat can cause streaking while the tan is developing.

Q: How do I make my spray tan last long?

A: Moisturize daily, avoid long hot showers, pat dry instead of rubbing, and use gentle, sulfate‑free, mineral free products.

Q: Will the spray tan get on my sheets?

A: Temporary cosmetic bronzer may transfer, but it washes out of most fabrics.

Q: Can I get a spray tan for a wedding or an event?

A: Yes! I would love to make you GLOW on your special day. Ideally schedule it 2 days before your event for the most even, settled color.

Q: How often can I spray tan? 

A: Typically, every 10 days is sufficient to maintain an even tan. Check out my spray tan packages for a discount on your glow when you lock in!

Q: Do you spray tan men? 

A: Yes- but only on a female-client referral basis. If you are already a Halo Glow client and have a man who wants a tan, you can refer him to me. This keeps the experience safe, comfortable, and aligned with how I run my mobile studio.
